If you drive on Rivervale road between Hillsdale, Westwood, and River Vale you must have passed by the coffin, and the big blown up rat that stands beside the coffin, with a manequin inside.  At first when I passed I thought I was seeing things!  I was utterly sickened by this site.  How can this happen where we live?  Why would someone put a coffin on Rivervale road, and how can the town allow it?  Well.... I am not a person that can stand still, sit by and let this happen.  Not here...in OUR TOWN.  RIVER VALE!  You got it.  I called the countryclub, and left a message.  Nope... no one called me back.  I called the River Vale Borough hall and asked if this was allowed.  The answer was...you got it.  YES.  Freedom of speech.  So I pulled up in front of the coffin, and asked the men standing there, yes... by the rat... "why are you doing this?"  They told me they were picketing the Edgewood country club for better wages.  Yes.  In our economy when no one has jobs, they were on strike.  Well if you passed by Rivervale road, they are still there.  Buyers''' I promise this will end.  This is not what our town is all about.  This is a private thing.  The countryclub is private, and River Vale has no say.  I am sure it will end soon.  I really don't want to be passing by a coffin on any morning when I am on my way to the office, and showing houses.  What do you think?
